Boeing 717-200

This is a modification, with permission, of the Laminar Research MD-80.

The current Boeing 717 is a derivative of the later version, MD-95. When McDonald Douglas ceased manufacturing the aircraft, Boeing bought the rights and continued to manufacture one of the best short haul aircraft on the market, until 2006.

Though Hawaiian Airlines is not one of the major purchasers of the 717, their fleet of 20 completes over 160 takeoffs and landings every day. Their inter-island flight schedule puts them at the top of the list for airlines with 717 service.

Boeing B747-400 Update

This is an updated ACF file for the X-Plane 11 default Boeing B747-400. While this aircraft is amazingly complete and beautifully modeled, it needed some significant corrections to the flight model to improve its overall stability and flight dynamics, and make its performance and handling come much closer to the real aircraft. Several bugs in the instrument panel functionality have also been corrected. While this is an older X-Plane 11 aircraft, and it isn't as fully and accurately simulated as the default B737-800, it is still extremely well modeled and amazingly complete, and it has some unique features which add greatly to its level of realism, and make it a lot of fun to fly.

Boeing B747-200F

This represents a Boeing 747-200F (freighter) with an MTOW of 802,000 lb equipped with Rolls Royce RB211-524C2 engines of 51,600 lb st each. There are liveries included for each of the airlines that flew this version, Cargolux, JAL superlogistics, Polar Air Cargo, Cathay Pacific, Alitalia, Atlas Air and Air France. A lot of the payload is already loaded in the form of containers or pallets (LD-3, LD-7 and P-9; which weigh 3,500 lb, 13,300 lb and 7000 lb respectively) which can be un/loaded via the weapons panel of the weight balance and fuel section of x-plane, as each pallet or container is modelled as a weapon for ease of use. Of course all the cargo doors are operational using shift-F1 to shift-F4 including the nose cargo door and the side loading door.
